ABOUT OvaRA
OvaRA is an alliance of leading basic and clinician scientists who cooperate on translational research projects with the vision to develop novel therapeutic strategies to combat ovarian cancer.
The research of OvaRA is focussed on the pathways and genetic alterations that govern the reciprocal interaction of cancer cells with their cellular and molecular microenvironment.
This malicious liaison of cancer and host cells is critical for disease progression, immune suppression and therapy failure, thus offering novel promising targets for therapeutic intervention.
FUNDING
The research of our principal investigators is funded by grants from the German Research Foundation (DFG), the German Cancer Aid (DKH) and the Wilhelm Sander Stiftung.
CORE FACILITIES
The research of OvaRA is strongly supported by several Core Facilities of the Faculty of Medicine providing state-of-the-art instrumentation and scientific expertise.
